Jerome “Toby” Alvin Meyer: 84, of Elkhorn, WI died Tuesday July 16, 2019 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center. He was born March 22, 1935 in Butternut, WI the son of the late Louis and Matthilda (Brunner) Meyer. Toby served during the Korean War with the US Marines. On December 27, 1958, he was united in marriage to Ruth A. Landdeck at St. Rose Catholic Church of Milwaukee, WI. Toby was a Milwaukee Police Officer for over 34 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Elkhorn, WI, the Police & Fire Retiree Association. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruth, five children: Mark (Patricia) Meyer of Lisbon, WI, David Meyer of Elkhorn, WI, Bethany Meyer of Tarpon Springs, FL, Mike Meyer of Lisbon, WI and Jerry Meyer of Elkhorn, WI, five grandchildren: Timothy (Lori), Peter, Daniel, Tyler and Ciara Meyer, and one great-grandson: Nathaniel Meyer, and by one brother: Ronald Meyer of Fifield, WI and by a host of other relatives and friends. Toby was preceded in death by one brother and six sisters. Memorial Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM Monday July 29, 2019 at St. Patrick Catholic Church 107 W. Walworth Street Elkhorn, WI with Father Oriol Regales officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 10:00 Am until time of service.
