Dennis A. Garoutte

Dennis A. Garoutte: 73, of Elkhorn, WI died Monday February 22, 2021 at his residence. He was born December 27, 1947 in Waukesha, WI the son of the late James and Catherine (Christensen) Garoutte. Dennis served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam war. On January 19, 1974 he was united in marriage to Catherine A. Muller at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Burlington, WI. Over his forty-year career Dennis worked in fabrication as a welder for A.O. Smith in Elkhorn, WI and for Schenck Accurate of Whitewater, WI retiring in 2009. Dennis enjoyed farming, and loved raising draft horses and beef cattle. He served as superintendent of the Draft Horse barn at the Walworth County Fair. Dennis was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by his wife of 47 years Cathy, his three daughters, Danyel (Nate) Perron of Elkhorn, WI, Sarah (Andrew) Stalhiem of Amery, WI and Megan (Jamie) Smith of Elkhorn, WI, nine grandchildren: Sophya, Zion, Joylyn, Levi, Enoch, Asher, Alora, Taelyn and Sawyer. He is further survived by his sister Patricia “Pat” (Randy) Week of Lodi, WI and other relatives and friends. Private family funeral service will be held at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory of Elkhorn, WI.
