Howard Charles Klabunde

Howard C. Klabunde age 84 of Genoa City, WI died May 1, 2021.  He was born in Genoa City, WI on September 16, 1936.  The son of the late Fred and Nellie (Quake) Klabunde Sr.   On November 27, 1955  he was united in marriage to Betty Schultz at the First Congregational Church in Genoa City where he was a lifelong member.  He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War. 

During his life he was a member of the Sponholtz-Deignan American Legion Post #183.  He was past president of Genoasnowers Snowmobile Club. Howard served as a past Genoa City Village Trustee, worked as a past Genoa City Police Officer and was a past member of the Bloomfield Fire Department.  He enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and going dancing.  He liked to collect John Deere Collectibles and was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan. 

Survived by his wife Betty.   Father to Susan (Jim) Humphreys and Linda (Terry) Eslick.   Grandfather to Brandon Coulman, Juliana Davison, Jessica Humphreys and Taylor Humphreys.  Great Grandfather to Dezmon Matson, Carson Matson, Jaxon Coulman, Braelyn McClure, Dallas McClure, Emilia Davison and Stevie Coulman.  Brother Robert (Karen) Klabunde.   Further survived by many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his daughter Cindy Coulman his sister Carol (Jess) Larson and brother Fred Klabunde Jr. 

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday May 5, 2021 at 10:00AM at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home 113 Freeman St.  Genoa City, WI.   Burial with military honors to follow at Hillside Cemetery in Genoa City, WI.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 4. 2021 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home 113 Freeman St. Genoa City, WI.   Online condolences Haaselockwoodfhs.com.
