John C Smith

John C. Smith formerly of Silver Lake, WI died April 27, 2021.  He was born on July 3, 1941.  The son of the late Elvin and Agnes (Closs) Smith.  On January 16, 1965 in Wilmot, WI he was united in marriage to Jeanette Hoener who preceded him in death on April 4, 2016.  He served in the United States Army.   During his life he was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wilmot, WI. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 8108 of Wilmot, WI.  He was a past member of the Silver Lake Vol Fire Department and Rescue Squad.  He enjoyed traveling especially to Hawaii.  John was a Camp Ground Host at Bong Recreation and enjoyed going golfing. 

Survived by his five children: Annette Flynn, Joseph Flynn, Anita (Mark) Morris, Maria (Dave) Barr and Tom (Debbie) Smith.  Grandfather to Dennis (Sandy), Jessica Rose, Ryan, Maggie, Shanna, Lexi and Brandon.  Great Grandfather to Katelyn and Ian. Special Friend to Sandy Baker.  Brother to Kenny (Sharon) Smith, Patsy Smith.  Brother in Law to Sharon Smith, Richard Staszak.   He was preceded in death by his Grandson Eric Dahme, Brother Terry Smith and Sister Kay Staszak. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday May 1, 2021 at 1:00PM at Holy Cross Catholic Church 30100 Wilmot Rd.  Wilmot, WI.   Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until 12:30PM at the Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 620 Legion Dr.  Twin Lakes, WI.  Online condolences Haaselockwoodfhs.com.
