Marlene Ann (Heusser) Liner

Marlene A. Liner: 84, of Elkhorn, WI died Friday July 24, 2020 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center.  She was born October 9, 1935 in Elkhorn, WI the daughter of the late John and Erma (Wendt) Heusser.  Bill was the love of her life and they met when he was in the United States Air Force stationed at the Radar Base on Hwy 67.  Marlene was united in marriage to William “Bill” C. Liner.  They were married on the 25th wedding anniversary of Marlene’s parents on January 8, 1952 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Elkhorn, WI.   Marlene was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and providing for her family.  She enjoyed listening to Patsy Cline and Elvis. Marlene loved family gatherings, happy hour and a good bowl of ice cream.  She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and especially loved Brett Farve. Marlene was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be deeply missed by her husband of 68 years, Bill, her four children: Vicki (Mike) Lange, Gary (Kathy) Liner, Rick (Jill) Liner and Jeff (Pam) Liner all of Elkhorn, WI.  Seven grandchildren: Rachel (Roger) Person, Melissa (Christopher) Clopper, Mandy (Aaron) Rowley, Natalie (Ryan) Schroeder, Drew Liner, Rochelle Liner and Alan Liner, and by two step-grandchildren: Kim (Jason) Kelnhofer and Matt Kutz, and by thirteen great-grandchildren, and by one sister Judy Copeland of Irving, TX and by a host of other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Virginia Dorn and by two brothers: Theodore “Ted” and Hilbert “Bud” Heusser.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Friday July 31, 2020 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church 415 Devendorf Street Elkhorn, WI with Rev. Preston Heuer officiating.  Burial will be at Millard Cemetery Millard, WI.  Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service.   Please adhere to social distancing guidelines while in the building.  Masks are not required, but recommended.  Memorials may be made in Marlene’s name to: Aurora Health Care Foundation or to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church.  On-line guestbook is at www.haaselockwoodfhs.com.  Arrangements completed by Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Homes and Crematory of Elkhorn, WI.
