Paul D. Rauhut, 83 of Elkhorn, WI died Wednesday May 5, 2021 at Holton Manor Nursing Home Elkhorn, WI. He was born April 6, 1938 in Ladysmith, WI. Paul was the son of the late Herman D. and Hilda S. (Kuenne) Rauhut. He was united in marriage to Audrey A. Sommerfeld on June 13, 1964. Paul was an industrial arts teacher of metal working for Badger High School of Lake Geneva for over 26 years retiring in 1993. He was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lake Geneva, WI. Paul was an avid reader, enjoyed fishing, and for a time he belonged to a radio-controlled airplane club. Paul and Audrey enjoyed traveling the country with the Miata Club and on their own. His greatest love was spending time with his family especially with his nephews and nieces. Paul will be deeply missed by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Audrey, three sisters: Marge Morton of Coon Rapids, MN, Nancy (Don) VanHeel of Plymouth, MN and Kari Smith of Cottage Grove, WI, several nephews, nieces, great nephews, nieces and by a host of other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers-in-law: John Rodd and Mike Smith, his mother and father-in-law: Henry (Alice) Sommerfeld. Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday May 11, 2021 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1101 Logan Street Lake Geneva, WI with Rev. Derek Bartelt officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday at the church from 10:00 AM until time of service.
