Terry Ervin Welch

Terry E. Welch age 67 of Delavan, WI died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday May 27, 2023.  Terry was born on December 14, 1955; son of the late Ervin and Marjorie (Brown) Welch.  Terry married Kathy Bane on July 26, 1980 at Delavan United Methodist Church.  Together they raised their sons Erik and Kevin.  Over the years, Terry volunteered at his church as an usher; he was a scout leader for both his sons and he took a strong interest in collecting old restored vehicles.  His years in auto body repair helped him build the skills needed to restore a few older farm tractors.  With those skills, he was also able to help out local businesses with their needs with painting their fleet vehicles to all match.  In recent years, Terry’s interests migrated more from old vehicles to old construction machinery; such as Caterpillar Tractors and trucks.  Terry was very active in the Rock River Thresheree; he was on their board of directors; and was the Manager of the Rock and Dirt Area of the Thresheree.  Terry was also a Local and National board member of the ACMOC Association.  Terry is preceded in death by his parents; and grandson; Carter.  He is survived by his wife; Kathy; sons; Erik (Barb) Welch; Kevin (Brittany) Welch; grandchildren; Colton, Calista, Ethan, Charlie, Cyrus; siblings; Renee Welch, Mark Welch; and a number of cousins and other relatives; Terry’s family meant everything to him.  A Funeral Service will be held for Terry on Saturday June 3, 2023 at 11:00AM at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory 730 N. Wisconsin Street Elkhorn, WI.  Visitation will take place before the funeral starting at 9:00AM.  Terry will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery following the funeral.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Terry’s name to his family; or to the Rock River Thresheree 51 E. Cox Road Edgerton, WI 53534.
